Meet Tatiana

Behind every statistic there’s a person with a story to tell.

Restaurant manager Tatiana first applied to us for help funding a dishwasher. But when we spoke, it became clear her needs were much greater.

While on holiday, Tatiana contracted blood poisoning and became critically ill. Life-saving surgery resulted in the amputation of all four of her limbs.

Tatiana loves her work in the restaurant sector… and she loves to dance. But standard NHS prosthetics didn’t give her the mobility or independence she wanted. She launched a crowdfunding campaign for more advanced limbs, but it fell short.

We covered the gap, helping Tatiana regain her freedom, return to work, and start dancing again.
